A Career Behind the Scenes
Morgan Haley began his career in professional guitar repair at The Repair Zone more than 35 years ago. From there he took his skills on the road with touring musicians where he learned the demands of keeping instruments performing their best night after night.
For more than 25 years, he used his skills and knowledge working with top-tier worldwide touring performers until 2010 when he established North County Guitar Specialists based in San Marcos in order to stay close to home and work with local players for the next decade. He subsequently returned to touring, continuing his work as a professional guitar tech, including several years on the road with the Steve Miller Band.
After more than three decades of working with both professional and hobby musicians, Morgan has developed an extensive understanding of guitars, setup requirements, player preferences and the practical demands on the instrument.
He is now offering that experience to musicians throughout North County San Diego by appointment.
